Studio version of Marigold? Why? Don't get me wrong, i would love it.

I know, I have both versions on my laptop. But the Skin & Bones version was awesome, so it would be nice to hear that one in a studio version. Just a bit more melody in it then the 2 others.

I don't see it happening though. I think S&B version will have to do. Don't see dave wasting tape on it now he's going back to analogue.

I meant in how it sounds now. Probably won't happen, but I wouldn't be suprised. Wouldn't be the first time that he's dug up old stuff.

Even if he never did release the studio version, it doesn't rule out the possibility of him doing so in the future. That's happened with Led Zeppelin, so...

Well, yeah, that's true. And we all know how Dave loves Zeppelin But making a Marigold studio version is also possible, I mean, he also did it with Friend Of A Friend (Pocketwatch & In Your Honor).

I can't wait to hear the album, especially if it will sound like the first ones. Really. That'd be something special after so many years. For me, leastwise.

I've been on a huge Foos kick, lately. They have lots of great songs. Added to list of favourites would be their cover of Prince's song, Darling Nikki. I wonder why Prince had such an issue with the Foos covering his song. I also really love Come Alive, which starts out soft - and then turns to hard rock.

On a side note, I was just lurking over at the Them Crooked Vultures forum, and it really upsets me when people bash the Foo Fighters. They probably are just a vocal minority - since quite a few others were hardcore fans, and I even recognized a few from this forum - but it still made me feel a little sad.

One thing I love about the Foos is that it's great fun music to listen to. Dave Grohl is not the kind of person to take himself too seriously, and I love him for that. I am most definitely looking forward to the new album.

I think it's because you said 'they did record a studio version', I think s/he just meant s/he knew it was around and recorded generally.

That's what I meant yes, didn't know that it was released as a B-side for DOA.

But they didn't released it as a single alone
