So. Fucking. Excited.

Ok, Im done. Needed the outlet to people who get it.

The short story...

The crowd was less than enthusiastic... At least compared to Phx. FF were still awesome.

And a verse of "Blackbird"... Take that "same ol playlist" thread... Made it more special when
It wasn't expected.

Pics in a day or two when I return home.
Oh, and the seats fuckin rocked!

Can't speak for Phoenix, but the crowd around me was totally into it. Had a great time.

Was an AMAZING show except for the asshole security guard who tried to take my iPhone away for taking a picture...kinda soured everything a little for me. Otherwise, a great night. Mariachi el Bronx killed it, Cage was not bad at all, and I hope they come back real soon. Though I'm not fond of this arena business...

I was there. A friend of mine drove in from the Lake Tahoe area too! I didn't know she was going, but saw her mention she was there on Facebook.

I'm going to see if I can get myself to the Newark show on Nov. 14th though. I'll fly into NYC that day, so why work when I can play?

Oh, that's a lot of suck. How are you going to sit during a Foo Fighters show?

Otherwise, glad you had fun and safe travels!

Wow, he would have been on triple duty in Oakland. There were so many phones up taking pics or video. Does he think this is 80s? WTF?

Talking Re: Sacramento

Went to the show last night and it was pretty awesome! I was on Chris' side right on the rail where dave's 2nd mike stand is. I drove down from Seattle, WA a couple days ahead of the show (13 hours) and it was worth it! The foo freaking rocked as usual! However, it was my first time at the Power Balance Pav. and I'm not a fan of how they have you wait to form a line. Pretty stupid if your guys know what i'm talking about. But over all it was a great show and I hope I get the chance to see them again this tour!

We were there and it was in one word:

AMAZING!

I don't know how they do it, I don't know how Dave sings like that for nearly 3 hours, but the Foo Fighters show last night was simply incredible. And yes, they did a long encore set includin' a scorchin' Rosemary, relentless Everlong- Dave layin' his guitar on the ground at the front as the feedback and song dwelled for this last show of the West Coast portion, and he did do a verse of Blackbird- amazing musician, amazing group, and a Great crowd.
We sang along, most everyone stood and danced, and we were given a long sweaty hard rockin' rock show where Dave even did a Chuck Berry duck walk!?

Oh, yeah, also, my family got moved from the nosebleeds to side stage- Section 117 just before the show due to limited mobility- those upper deck steps were way too steep! And my 5 year old actually got one of Taylor's drumsticks?!- ok, her aunt caught it as the roadie flung it over my head but she gave it to her-

Thanks Foos for one unforgettable night our family will always remember!
cheers :>

I thought the crowd was pretty subdued compared to Oakland but that is probably because I was in GA at Oakland right against the catwalk at the bottom of the stairs from the stage. Lots of people seated near me (and some left early!!!) last night but an AMAZING SHOW!!! Worth the 4 hours driving round trip to hear one verse of Blackbird. So wish I could make it to the NY to see them in my home town.

Sandy - I was looking for you in row L but didn't find you (between CTE and FF).

Yeah - the crowd was disappointing - at least on our side. Even GA looked a little "still" relative to what I am used to seeing. I think the band was a little disappointed too - Dave didn't talk as much to this crowd - and when he did, he made a few joking jabs.

Regardless - the boys put on a a great show - all worth the trip for sure!

Anybody get any good photos?

Should we post them in this thread or over in the photos thread? (I hate being new... )

My pics are still in the "edit" phase - just trying to grain out some of the poor lighting I got...

So sorry we missed each other!!! I couldn't get out of work until 6:30 so I missed both openers. With rush hour traffic I made it in with seconds to spare before FF started. It was a pretty tense drive with me stressing out about possibly missing some of the set. I also misread my ticket and was in Row G (even better). I thought of trying to head down to Row 1 at the end of the night but figured it would be impossible to make it down against the tide. We'll have to make it a point to meet up next show we're both crazy enough to drop everything for.
