I would like to know what Dave was wearing in Sunderland. I was pleased to see the red and black plaid shirt back at the BBC Norwich whatsit event.

Black jumper and jeans.

After half an hour though he had to put a fleece on over the top as he was cold!!? It was balmy by Sunderland standards (11 degrees c).

Taylor had his usual thin white t shirt on though (commented that his hair had frozen in the cold!)

Think the setlist is good but would prefer them to get rid of the covers section. I'd also replace one of Learn to Fly/Long Road to Ruin for Breakout (love that song live).

Would also like to see some more Colour and the shape in there, Up In Arms/Hey! Johnny Park would do nicely.

Also, hello, long time lurker, first time poster. Massive Foo Fighters fan, my favourite band and been watching them since I was 10 so I thought I should get involved in this forum really!

Completely agree. And I'm new here too. Hello!

Was very disappointed not to hear Breakout.. really wanted that one last night. As you say, not a fan of the mess about, covers section they did- I can understand why they'd do it though to pay tribute to what inspired them.

Great gig though all in all- first time for me too. Grohl is an immense frontman.

Hello and welcome to you too! Hey! Johnny Park is one my favourite FF songs so I would be more than happy to hear it live.

Glad I'm not alone!

It seems to be in and out of the setlists at the moment so hoping they'll play it at one of Wembley or Rock Werchter. Yeah I completely understand it but would much rather no covers and 2 extra Foo's songs.

That's great to hear, looking forward to watching them for the 13th time at Wembley on the 20th June. He is a brilliant frontman and puts all his energy, seems like a great all round guy too.

Thank you kindly. Would be fantastic but any songs from The Colour And The Shape bar the usual 3 that will be played are more than welcome!

I think we just have to accept the covers aren't going anywhere but only three songs from the album you're touring and supporting is just poop. They're consistently still playing more from the last album, which I think says a lot.

I think it says : "Sonic Highways is such an incredible album that we do not want to spoil our audience with any more of its songs which are superior to anything we've done before".

I don't mind a cover or two, but 5 does seem a touch excessive.

It's not the best setlist I've seen, but not the worst either. Will see what tomorrow brings.

get rid of two covers, replace them with the Feast and the Famine.

I'd accept one less song for that to happen

Don't you know the world ends with Glastonbury? It's basically the pinnacle of all music...

I wasn't reading into it at all, its just typical shoddy journalism (quite commonplace with the NME, and very common with many websites nowadays, just generating clickbait titles to generate revenue)

and blast, I must now try and sell my soul so that I can be at the be all and end all that is glastonbury.

I'm probably going to get shot down for this but I'm not a fan of Best of You live; and in my opinion it's not the most suitable way to end a 2+ hour show considering what else they could have finished on. I hope we get I Am a River to close tonight in Manchester.

I agree.

But, sadly, the band don't seem to like playing the most obvious show closer they have ever written.

I like the song very much -

But even the recorded performance is painful to listen to because of the screaming. Always has been for me. A lower key in which he wouldn't have had so much trouble singing the song would have made it even better IMO.

I probably dont have to mention what's my take on the live version..
