Frame the litho, enjoy the Vinyl. Leave the rest unopened.

You have to enjoy music and collectibles as much as you can. Maybe strage words coming from a hardcore colelctor, but what use is all this stuff if you haven't enjoyed it before you go.

You're right, although it's the 'hunt' and acquisition that I enjoy, then ....on to the next one. Yep, I think I'll frame the Litho because it's f**kin' awesome

Just sell it to eil.com, I'm sure they'll give you, oooooh, 17.50 for the whole thing.

They're like the CEX of the music world. Give you peanuts for something then sell it for 8x as much. I've been tempted to ask how much they would pay for my entire collection a few times, just to see how much I would laugh.

Do it! I could use a good laugh! I would be interested to know how much they would pay for an official signed piece like the lithograph!

I asked, they're not interested in full collections. Vinyl only. Didn't take it further for prices.

Ahh I see. Surprised at that. I offered them an original US TCATS a few years ago and they offered 50, they sell them for I believe 120.

Nope, just vinyl. Struggling to find anyone even remotely interested in the collection as a whole :/

Starting to wonder if we've all just been kidding ourselves and our collections are worthless to anyone but ourselves

I still think it would be better splitting the collection & putting it on eBay.

Still first dibs for the Miracle promo!

If you can, wait until after the next album and subsequent world tour as prices tend to peak around then when fans and new collectors are buying on an emotional level. As you'd be fully aware, this was evident after the WL tour when prices on stuff went bananas

That's definitely what I would be doing too - though you wouldn't need to wait until after - even a few weeks after WL was out prices went way up. People simply aren't going to buy collections in full though, they have to be broken up. Then the prices tend to go up just because people can get several items they want at once and save on postage.

I think we certainly over value our items to some degree, but all collectors do - and those values are only true to other collectors. It's something (strangely they come up again straight away lol) EIL and others like them know; they pay way under the odds and sit on the items until someone either pays way too much, or they finally have a sale and just clear them at around normal ebay profit margins. The never lose but they have to play a waiting game that you can't do if you need to just shift a collection.

A lot of the time memorobilia sellers will list items far above what they expect they can sell for and add the offer link. They do this so that they can get the absolute best price for the item. Say they listed it for 500 and it sold, the seller would be wondering if someone would have bidded more. So they set it sky high and see what the offers are like.

Sometimes they are just greedy fuckers but if the 'make offer' is there it may be the above.

Yeah I think that's the case here - seller isn't a big user so they don't have a lot of background and anyway how do you value something like that. I'd probably do exactly that just to see what was offered. Of course you can just piss people off and have them lose all interest in ever looking at it again. So it can work against you too.

It's a great item - all the signs of it being real, plus the concert ticket is offered with it. But it's not worth anything like that. And great items come up all the time like this one - 1995 First Tour T-Shirt, signed by Dave, Pat and William.
