Y'all are retarded.

Dear Rosemary is the best song on the album and I hated "Steady as she Goes" so there you go.

Dave Grohl's right foot has more talent then Jack White. (Sorry Jamie xoxo)

I know that's not a real argument but I thought it sounded better than, "nanny nanny boo boo" in my response to the idiotic first post.

There might be some slight similarities, but it's nothing I would have ever thought unless pointed out. I don't think it's too noticeable and I doubt Dave Grohl channeled that song.

As the above poster noted, listen to "Is She Really Going Out With Him" by Joe Jackson, with notable covers by Goldfinger and Sugar Ray, and then decide if "Steady As She Goes" isn't more of a rip off/tribute than "Dear Rosemary" could ever be.

I thought of that similarity as well, but it doesn't matter. "Steady As She Goes" is almost a rip off of Joe Jackson's "Is she Really Going Out With Him" anyway. ahha

EDIT: oops, just read the other posts saying the same thing. haha

This. I used to like the Raconteurs alot but as you said, it hadn't crossed my mind.

I bet the first sounds of the dinosaurs were much louder than anything a single-celled-amoeba could muster... lol. Maybe that wouldn't make theirs the 'first' sound ever made, but it would make the dino's sounds the first of their kind!

And "Steady As She Goes" is kinda ripping off "Is She Really Going Out With Him?"

Songs sound similar sometimes. It means nothing

Oh and I really doubt it's about Rosemary Carroll

Not every song is about a new development but I don't think you start writing songs about business associates from nearly 20 years ago......or at least not songs like that

Sometimes in a song, a name is just a name picked because of how it sounds. Sometimes it's a real name, other times it's a nickname, sometime's it's a completely random.....

was about to say this, but with a lot more words, thanks for being more spot on with less effort.

there's "Carolina" on "What If I Do" lyrics, I'm sure that's a completely random choice that seem to fit that bit of the song.
