Default For All The Cows airplay

This goes more for the older fans, but does anyone recall For All The Cows getting played on the radio around 95/96? I heard the other 3 singles from the first album plenty of times but never heard Cows until I bought the first CD.

Fall or so 1995 into the Winter? Sure. None of the songs on that record were nearly as big hits as later ones, but it was on radio a good amount.

I heard it a few times on the old alternative radio station (which I still miss), but the rock station used to put on the Foos maybe four times a day max and they never played it.

In the Twin Cities, if you were wondering.

Big Me is their joint highest charting on the Hot 100 Airplay chart along with LTF.

They had crossover appeal to the more middle of the road stations. But the regular airplay chart is a bit of an anomaly for a rock band in the US. You'd hear Big Me and Learn to Fly a little on these "adult contemporary / lite rock" stations sandwiched in between John Mellencamp and Steely Dan.

For the rock radio charts, stuff like All My Life and Best of You and the Pretender (and most of the major singles after 2002, to be honest) were #1 hits and stayed on top way longer

Weirdly, Rope I think had their longest top spot on the alternative radio chart. Something like 3 months straight.
