So you can't actually buy tickets the normal way? You text a number and you might get lucky?

It was suggested earlier in this thread that some were for sale, and the remaining tickets were in a ballot.

Biffy Clyro weren’t announced in the first wave last year though. So all you people stressing over gigs that might not even happen need to remain stressing over gigs that might not happen. Especially as @WarchildUk follow Foo Fighters on twitter.

another good spot. Out of the 9000 accounts they're following, FF are quite a recent one as well.

The speculation continues...

I still think that, if it happens, it'll be before the Brits. They play the Brits on Wednesday and Rio on Sunday... wouldn't they want to get down to Brazil pretty quickly after London?

War Child currently doesn't have anything scheduled for the 19th Feb...

And it looks like, although the link says "On Sale Friday 9am", it is actually just a prize draw.

or 14th/16th/18th/19th/21st but they have some events on the same dates as they're in different venues. They haven't announced 'the big one' at Shepherds Bush Empire, which we're assuming could be FF.

Last year WarChild announced the shows on 17th Jan. Biffy Clyro didn't announce their gig at O2SBE until 31st.

Could also be a post-Brits gig

http://www.nme.com/news/music/coldplay-340-1307766

Quote:
Coldplay and The Killers – joined by special guests from U2 and Take That – played a rare joint gig in London tonight (February 18 - 2009).

With all the acts rushing across from the nearby BRIT Awards ceremony to play the intimate charity show in aid of War Child – and also marking the launch of newly rechristened O2 Shepherds Bush Empire – the gig kicked off well after 11pm (GMT), with The Killers taking to the stage first.

Howeverm while both groups played curtailed sets in order to beat the curfew, they compensated by recruiting their specials guests for a joint encore together at the end of the show.

As if they'd put the huge announcement in with the rest... Just like Biffy last year... 30th Jan is the date to wait for.

And there were limited amounts for Biffy that actually got sold (for £50).

I was just going to post 'panic over' until I read Georgia's reply...

I had a 40th birthday do to attend on the 20th of Feb which has now moved to the 21st so I think I should be OK to attend anything if it IS announced...

I guess we wait!...
