Be patient with me. Music means something different when you're older. You'll see when you get to my age.
And it's FUCKING BEAUTIFUL!!!

I prefer Wasting Light, only because SH is too short and In The Clear drags it down.

Preferring Sonic Highways to Wasting Light is like preferring In Your Honor to There Is Nothing Left to Lose. You're welcome to your opinion but your opinion is bad and you should feel bad

I REALLY over listened to Wasting Light though, so that's probably the reason for the way I feel about it. Also at that time I had a really depressing job - so sadly listening to the album reminds me of that.

I'm totally with you on that!

Subterranean and Outside do it for me too, but I love the whole thing - it's one of those albums that I like to listen to the whole way through - it flows beautifully (no river pun intended!).

I had a good chuckle at this.

Outside is superb. Congregation, Feast and Famine and Something From Nothing are pretty good. The other four...

I've just picked the album up again after it gathering dust for the last six months or so...
I adore Feast and the Famine and Congregation.
I quite like Outside and Something from Nothing
I agree with the previous post, the other four songs are weak!

I think Feast and Congregation are up there with any Foos song of the last 20 years. Controversial?

Congregation is so Foo-by-numbers. It's Times Like These 3.0 but without the hooks to make it succeed. It's like an In Your Honor outtake, but the In Your Honor outtakes were actually interesting. The only redeeming quality is the little solo that the guest guy did over the breakdown part.

Just saying. Opinions, man.

I still don't get the absence of Feast And the Famine in their past live shows. IMO it's the one song on the album that could stand the test of time.

On the other hand, it's sorta like No Way Back 2.0 which has since vanished from the setlists also - even though Taylor himself thought it would be the lead single over BoY..

Well just my opinion, but compared to Wasting Light, apart from there being less songs, the songs on Sonic Highways are every bit as good. More mature in fact. Sure Wasting Light is near perfect and one of my fav Foo albums, but I have kind of got board of it and I find Sonic Highways a much more interesting and intricate listen.

And as far as comparing Congregation and Times Like These, Congregation is far superior and a better song all round. Congregation has many more hooks, Times Like These is a mere simple, cheesy pop song in comparison. Why don't you just go and listen to the latest boy band!

My thoughts as well.

Love Sonic Highways. Congregation is a very hooky song. love the guitar throughout the song. And live, it kills!

I was hoping Feast and the Famine was going to show up live. Really love that song. I do like SH but prefer WL. WL has the songs on that make me cry. Pah, I know but hey, each to their own.

Taylor's vocals are incredible on Too Far Gone To See.

I can't understand some People who compare the FF Albums, especially WL and SH.
If they want a band whose Albums all Sound the same they should listen to ACDC. They've got 15 records which Sound almost the same.

It's cool that the FF try somthing new. Personally I think that WL ist better, but although SH is a fucking great one, too.

Sound is one thing.

The songs are what really matter though.
