Default Help and advice 2017 tickets

Hi, each time we have seen the band it has been more difficult to get tickets, and travelling to MK last time with friends in other cars was so bad, we missed all the support, and abandoned cars by the roadside to the disgust of police.Would love a chance to see them next year, but worried tickets will be way too expensive for us...

Sure was. You used to be able to turn up and queue at the venue box office when they went on sale. It made it more of an experience.

It's probably going to just be festivals this year. If they do some of their own shows, travel by train and book a hotel on booking.com.

I've been trying to get tickets since 2005! The first time I got lucky was last year!

I hate the fact that the gigs are sold out in like 30 seconds and 5 mins after you can find tickets on ebay for like 300 bucks.

The tickets should be sold at the venue, first come first serve. Or personalized tickets!

First come first served buying at a big venues won't work neither will personalised tix at big gigs.It would take too long to check ID's. Scrap the secondary ticket market altogether.

Why wouldn't it? What is a big venue?

I've been to gigs at the O2 where the tickets were ID checked and it moved faster than the usual queue.....

Thanks for your thoughts, by the time we had bought 4 tickets at 150 each, and then looked at MK hotels for the night prices had shot up,was just too expensive, and the travelling was so stressful. Would love to see them in London, would be great to go to Wembley with the family, we saw them at Invictus and we had a really great day. Would also be good to see Dave running around again.

Hi, sorry but we paid 456 for 3 tickets for MK Bowl, as we were unable to buy them directly we had to buy through a popular site that were selling tickets on. Thats why I was asking for advice as we were hoping there would be some UK dates soon , and as we only have the opportunity to see them once in a while, we would really like to be able to go, thanks.

you shouldn't have had problems buying the normal priced tickets when they went on sale (seetickets...ticketmaster...whatever it was). Why were you unable to buy directly? the big shows like MK Bowl don't sell out so quickly at all. And they did 2 dates right?

You had travel problems, abandoning your cars etc. That's bad planning on your part I think Personally, I booked myself into a hotel on the day (Premier Inn, next to the 'Bowl'), left myself plenty of time to get there, had no problems whatsoever. And I did the exact same thing when Foo Fighters played at MK before (a few years ago).

Going to shows like this should never be hard.

Tips : plan. Be online 30 mins before they go on sale, credit card at the ready. Plan your journey. Leave early, give yourself PLENTY of time. Know your journey..know where you're going...SatNav....its all good, you'll be there front row next time Foo's are in the UK.

So far I've always scored tickets to a FF show I've wanted to see (if my memory serves me right it's 6 shows since 2002), guess I've been lucky.

The only time I was out of luck when they did a corporate gig in a local 800-capacity venue in 2003, luckily a friend of mine won a pass and it turned out to be a +1. Good times.

I loved standing in the queue for ages having a laugh with people you didn't know beforehand. If someone needed a loo or a cup of coffee we held places in the queue for each other... Oh man!

Not quite, but not far off.

Last time they were here it was $200 + booking fees. (which it about 120, I think)
