Default DOA, what does that stand for?

hehe!

I'm sure someone, if not most of you know, what D.O.A. stands for. But for some reason I missed out on understanding what it means...

could someone please help me out with this?

Dead On Arrival
or
Dead Or Alive

Some people claim to know which is the right one, but in all honesty no one knows.

all these multiple choice questions or always really easy and obvious if this wasnt multiple choice then most people would actually have to do some research and not just guess the multiple choice just made it obvious

NME must have a diffinitive answer between Dead or Alive (which I think it is) or Dead on Arrival because its their competition question.

Since when has DOA ever stood for Dead or Alive?
You know, before the game came out?

IT'S "DENIAL OF AGE" YOU BRAINDEAD SHIT!
The song's about Dave reaching his late-thirties.

DOA traditionally means either "dead on arrival" or "dead on admission". It's a code used by hospitals (specifically used in emergency rooms) for the person's records as to their state when they entered the hospital's care.

I have never in my life heard someone use DOA to mean "dead or alive". It doesn't make sense. DOA means it's dead, so how can it be alive? (Stupid video game creating mrhrhmph...)

The Merriam Webster Dictionary says "dead on arrival" or "dead on admission". Nothing about "dead or alive".
