Finally, the book we've all been waiting for, a book actually about the music, a book for actual Foo Fighters fans.

Heh, thanks. It's certainly not complete, I'm sure there are many many sessions I just don't know about but hopefully over time with help from people close to the band I can make it better.

Absolutely, a great read!

Great to have all the info weve had to search for in small interview tidbits in the same place, great work Simon!

Thanks guys. I did spend a long, long time collating all of the information from interviews and other places but there is some new information in there as well, from my private conversations with a few key people in the know.

I'm hoping in future some more people will be willing to help me make this even more detailed, there are bound to be a lot of sessions I simply just don't know about.

Fuckin A man!!! Amazon sounds like a must place to be xD
Haven't bought it yet, I don't have an e-Reader, won't read at a screen (unless you put it in a locked thread where you'd have to pay to go in, and read it thread style) and have like 4 books which I haven't finished.

But you'll totally have my money someday in this year. Promise! haha.

No worries, I know ebooks aren't for everyone. I'm still looking into print options but nothing is concrete and for guys like you a long way from me I think postage would send the costs pretty high.

We'll see though.

I read it straight through, great job Simon! Fascinating stuff, I flew right through it. I loved the rare early stuff. Thank god for Barrett Jones, right? I think the FF might not exist if not for his "Laundry Room" and encouragement to Dave. I didn't realize how far back some of the songs went.

It may be hard for you to keep up though! They'll either be recording in a shack in the woods, or at their disposal in 606, where every time they touch a switch on the Neve its a session to keep up with.

Hey Simon - Congratulations on the book. That front cover is fantastic! Why did you choose that picture - or will I get to it when I read the book?

Is this a Danny Clinch photo? I cannot find anywhere one the internet. I need this picture in my office.

This looks like the real deal.

I'm a newbie when it comes to buying a book that isn't a hardcopy, so what are my options in terms of actually reading this? I have an iPad.

For an iPad you can just copy the PDF version across and read that, I believe.

Purchased.

The front cover is different than what is on the OP of this thread. Any reason for that? btw, I bought the pdf version.

I recently had to change the front cover, I forgot to update the OP.

Thanks for the purchase, if you have any problems reading it let me know. Are you also the Jamie that just made a donation to the site as well? If you are, thanks a lot!

hi Simon,

congrats for the book. is there a way to buy the ebook directly from you, so that you don't have split your profit with amazon (or other)?
