indeed boy this thread rulllezzz something new i just picked up.

3 Signed singles with drumstick from the 1997 Paradiso show. With franz Stahl,it was his 30th live show with the foos. There where 2 drum kits on stage for Taylor and Dave, they played one song together. From the marks on the drumstick it must be Taylors, or Dave had to destroy a stick in one song.

It's not the same promo and without case etc deliberately - the first one was episode 1 and 2. This one is 6 and 8 because it is an Emmy submission disc - those are the episodes HBO has submitted for the Emmy awards. You can see the Emmy blurb in the disc text:
$7.50 for mine

Hey Alban - just the two types I think.

1) Original HBO advance promo DVD in case with artwork with the first two episodes on it. This one came out somewhere before the show aired and will have been a screener promo for reviewers to prepare their initial TV reviews etc

2) This one with episode 6 and 8 - another official HBO DVD promo but they will have probably made as many or more of these than the first one. These will have gone to some form of sub group of the 19,000 Emmy members (there are 29 peer groups) that get to vote on the Emmys.
http://www.emmys.com/members/how-to-join

They try and keep costs down as much as possible hence the paper sleeves. I've seen this for several years now. Then they vote here (online only now) from the 15th June.
http://www.emmys.com/online-voting

So both were made with very difference specific reasons - initial two episodes to be reviewed, and then the two "best" episodes in HBO's opinion (interesting to see what these are) have just been submitted for the Emmy awards. Could have been the same but aren't.

So there won't really be any reason for more two episode sets to be made, but there will be the odd promo copy of the actual full DVD set.

And although probably a lot more of the Emmy promos will be made, there may be fewer actually seen. All depends on the person involved. As you can see on the disc they are not to be transferred sold etc etc - the actual member blurb is that you keep or destroy your copy. The difference between the two types is really that reviewers have little to lose as review copies have to go out to them regardless. Emmy members don't want to lose their membership as that wouldn't look very good.

I saw a "Live in Paris 2005" bootleg at Amoeba Records this past weekend. Was nearly tempted, but then saw the $13.99 price tag!

Wonder if that is using my Maida Vale recordings...

Still can't see the point in these sort of bootlegs myself. They were useful back in the old days when they actually contained unique sources but everything these days is sourced from online downloads.

To each his/her own though I guess.

Cheaper to learn than pay for these.

But seriously, downloading audio is easy.

https://mega.co.nz/#!VU1XWRDI!Nm9fmK...V6P8R1-LwqT0xI

Click the download link, open the zip, play with Winamp/VLC/foobar on PC, VLC on Mac or a few other options.

Hmmm... I suppose it's possible. Truth be told, I haven't bought a proper bootleg since 11+ years ago for the very reason you said: downloads that are probably the original source anyway.
