Yep, train station parking worked wonderfully. There were plety of spaces near the car park exit and after a nice walk from the venue we were on the road within 3 minutes. No queues, nothing.

Wow.. that was a pretty amazing gig.. the Foo's just never disappoint, I got there kinda late, but was still able to be just outside the pit..

I was amazed how many people put their hands up to it's their first Foo Fighters show.. after selling out Wembley and Hyde Park in the past to think there's still such a percentage of people who haven't been.

They could just have played Aurora and I would have been happy....

Now for Tuesday in Scotland!

We had an awesome time last night. We were in the queue on the fairground ride side, got wristbands in be initial outside queue, and went straight into the inner pit when they opened the gates so got right up close to the barrier on the right hand side of the stage. The urinal on the fences side of stage were interesting, many arses on display which I could have done without seeing lol. I don't know if we just got lucky but there were surprisingly few piss throwers, only one scrap which security were onto almost immediately and lots of friendly people around us. For a first timer it was amazing. I screamed, jumped and sang my heart out and was so very chuffed. Even got to do my mother act and hand out ibuprofen from my first aid kit to the poor chap next to us who was suffering from standing in the squash for hours.
Epic night, wish we were there tonight too. Hope they come back soon!
Car park chaos we expected, we were in car park A, got out of there about 12.20 I think and headed straight for McDonald's as we hadn't eaten since breakfast. Poor planning on our part, should have grabbed some sandwiches on our way, didn't want to risk dodgy belly from the burger van food. Home by 3.30.

it was horrific. if you followed the posted signs for the venue, it took 30 minutes to travel one mile. we missed royal blood completely. we finally found ourselves on the map and went off piste--got to a parking lot seven minutes later. if we'd stayed on the marked route, we'd have missed iggy pop instead of just being late.

we were parked in teardrop lakes and getting out was a massive snafu. we were some of the first people to get to our cars, and we should have been in the first 100 to get out of our area.

it was chaos. there was another, separate car park closer to the exit and they appeared to be getting priority exiting, so about one car exited the main parking area every 30 seconds. it looks like they parked nearly 1000 cars in a place with only one exit.

after 80 minutes we hadn't moved. no stewards visible anywhere.
people finally just created random lanes and lines of traffic and then it got moving. we finally saw the parking stewards--they were standing by the road watching us all exit.

so in a nutshell, i spent more time in a car within a 5 mile radius of the show than i did AT the show. (which i really enjoyed, and thought the venue itself was fine for holding that number of people.)

don't park at teardrop. had we known what a hassle it was going to be, we'd have forfeited our pre-paid parking and booked a spot at a train station.
Yep we missed Iggy. However the walk back to Teardrop was closer than it could have been and once we started moving it was completely clear all the way home.

If I every go to a gig there again I would leave just after rush hour. More fool me to thing that we had almost 8hrs to do a 2hr journey

I love hearing My Hero live. It is always my 'smoke in the eyes' moment.

If anyone is able to pick up a mug from the merch store I would be eternally grateful. Didn't realise they had them and due to the queues I didn't bother queuing up as I didn't need any clothing.

You haven't got any other shows lined up for this year?
