I wish they'd hurry up. I'm scared to buy any other tickets for next year. I need to get some festival tickets and ACDC will be announcing any day.

I’ve bought tickets to see The Struts - 3 consecutive days end of Feb. Hoping that there are no foo clashes

Another festival, Virginia Beach April 20-26.

They seem very out of place looking at the rest of the lineup.

This is right around my birthday so I’m tempted but I’m sick of festivals

Hopefully there will be some proper Foo shows in between these festival dates.

Produced by Live Nation. That's why. They'll shoehorn FF in anywhere to get their cut. Their schedule has been a mess since this started.

Ah that would explain it, hadn't looked if it was yet another LN event.

Another benefit concert was announced today with tickets starting at $2,500, promoted by - of course - Live Nation Entertainment. I wonder if the guys are allowed to do anything that LN doesn't have a professional stake in. No wonder they're stuck doing the same festival sets over and over.

The fact that only the odd festival date is being dripped out doesn't fill me with confidence for something good happening next year...

I hate live nation with a passion. They suck the soul out of the live concert industry. Money over the fans.

I think I'd rather not see the boys rather than go to another festival.

What if they will announce everything at once and then it's full panic station for a week or so, deciding where to go etc. Would prefer that to one announcement at a time tho.

But to be fair they have done a wonderful job promoting nothing at all on the FF Store for 12 months - and then unleashing a solid no of cut and paste Christmas jerseys that they sell for dozens of other bands. With a brand new Christmas FIRST! ... nothing else whatsoever!

One day bands will get the fact that they need to own their entity top to bottom once they get where they can afford it. The returns are prob 10x what the get now - only they cant see it because they dont/wont try it.

Said it many times but again, only a few like Metallica / Kiss / Stones seem have figured it out - and of course they are older iconic bands (and you like them or not) but the same principle will work for everyone today. Maybe especially those with just a moment of fame (because maybe 70% of the value on those emerging artists overall is sucked up by these cunts now and then they are discarded).

Cut the leeches the fuck out of the equation; get a half dozen people in close support on telephones, organise shit and make it happen. Then worry about production and promotion. With SO much now riding financially on touring, if it swung that way, you'd see a bunch of specialists in each support area rise up and do just that job really well and take a small cut. The LN way is like the oil industry - bloated, corrupt, oblivious to anything but self interest and certain to be short lived.

Meanwhile everyone is accepting the BS that touring is just a part of a package they can provide better than anyone. Only all they do is get 6 people on telephones and make a few calls... and pocket more than 50% of the proceeds on bands that have no idea what the start number ever got to.
