does anyone know how many copies it has sold since its release? I want to say it has gone gold already but I am not sure. I just like to know the number of units for some odd reason. Great that they are back in the top 20. In the last two weeks wasting light went from 36 to 26 to 12. Thats badass.

It's definitely Gold already, since May, according to soundscan stats- but that's maybe not takin' into account global sales-
it should go Platinum really soon!@

According to this http://rockaccess.net/tag/foo-fighters/ it has sold 446,442 copies as of June 16 and has hit Gold status in the US. It also mentions Back and Forth being the #1 selling music DVD last week but does not give sales figures.

Wasting Light has crept back into the top 10 on the UK albums chart and Foo's greatest hits is still in the top 30. They must be doing well.

Other notables: Rope charted in the top 30 in Portugal and Walk has just made it onto the Billboard Hot 100.

thanks for the replies everybody, I really appreciate it. Wasting Light will go platinum even if I have to buy 500,000 copies myself...people who play the mega millions usually win right? I have some major plans for that money I haven't won yet like buying Foo Fighters records and filling a stadium with tapioca and then getting human sized hamster balls for us all so we can roll around on top of it and fight like in the old American Gladiators.

Year of the Foo indeed! And I guess Year of Adele. I don't get how Adele's album is the top seller, but Wasting Light is the top album?

Let these accolades be a good sign for the Grammy's!

Whenever I hear Rope it always reminds of that time when Wasting Light first came out. There was kind of a bit of Foo mania at the time what with all the album promotion and Wasting Light debuting at No. 1 in twelve countries. So for me Rope is the sound of 2011.

Walk is currently charting on the Japan Hot 100. Better late than never. It seems to be Wasting Light's biggest hit in terms of charts and awards. I mean two Grammys and an MTV video award is not bad going.

Ok, so a little bit of useless statistical information. The Euro Hot 100 chart ran from the early 1980's to about 2011. It was compiled from the official singles charts of 16 different European countries. The Euro Hot 100 was originally published by Music & Media magazine, but that became a Billboard publication in the mid 1990's. The following chart runs have been found for Foo Fighters singles in back issues of Music & Media magazine for Foo Fighters, although some are clearly missng (All My Life, The Pretender etc):

This is a Call: 14, 31, 69,

I'll Stick Around: 49, 82

For All The Cows: 70,

Big Me: 58, 75,

Monkey Wrench: 88, 51, 93,

Everlong: 48, 36, 94,

My Hero: 53, 57,

Waling After You: 87,

Learn to Fly: 65,

Breakout: 97,

Times Like These: 40, 87,

Low 72,

Best of You: 14, 32, 40, 62, 76, 94, 95 (RE),

DOA: 83,

Resolve: 93,

Wheels: 40, 59, 50, 64,

Rope: 90

I wish the RIAA had a website where you could look up EXACTLY how many copies of an album have been sold up until today.

Foo Fighters certifications at the RIAA website were updated last month and the Everlong single is now 2x Platinum in the US.

Best of You and The Pretender are also now 2x Platinum and Learn to Fly is Platinum. Wasting Light and ESP&G also now certified platinum albums.

Unless I'm mistaken, this means their first 7 albums have ALL gone platinum, with only SH to go?

That's actually really impressive in terms of sheer consistency, especially in this day and age.

That's right a consistent 7 platinum albums in a row.

Does anyone know how well TSIAN is charting? I'm asking because I have yet to hear it on the radio. Granted, the rock stations in my area arent the greatest and the college alt rock station plays more Lorde than rock music. I do hear Run occasionally so I was at least expecting to hear TSIAN from time to time.

Does anyone know why the RIAA certifications that were updated about a month ago and that I posted about above have just been reverted back to the to figures from about 10 years ago ?

Concrete and Gold outsells the rest of the UK top 10 combined to become the fastest selling album since Ed Sheeran's Divide and earn Foo Fighters 4th UK number 1 - http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index...owtopic=205237. This is also enough to copies to earn a silver certification in the UK (60,000 copies required).

The Sky Is A Neighborhood also reached a new peak in the UK of 63 this week.

They were saying it was set to go number 1 in the US too, did that happen? I haven't seen any information, so either no, or the info isn't out yet.
