I saw a 10" earlier today but passed on it because I'd rather own the 12". Was that a rookie mistake?

Thanks again for the previous info
The 10" is the 2LP US version. The 12" is the single LP UK version.

I have seen a couple UK copies on eBay here and there. Seen many US versions for sale, which is what I own. I would guess the UK is harder to find.

Must be a location thing - I'm in the UK and am finding it hard to get a 2 x 10" LP for a reasonable price, but see 12" ones frequently

Yeah, I was thinking that after reading your post. I have seen probably 10+ auctions for the 10" compared to about 2 of the 12". But I only look on the US eBay listings.

Simply by the numbers the 12" is rarer. It's pressed in Germany and less were ever pressed than of the US 10". How rare either may seem to find to a given buyer isn't really relevant. If everyone wanted both (and we all eventually do if you start collecting), the 12 " version would run out first.

Best guess as much as a 2 for 1 difference in pressing quantities.

These prices are unbelievable. I have almost two copies of everything (including cassettes) and four copies of IYH (vinyl). Don't have the motivation to sell yet but if the prices carry on then i'll have to.

Most ever spent by me on an item is 120 for the green Probot 7" Centuries of Sin..... never played.

Good luck with the continued collecting.

Yes it was and yes they have found a good home - I caught it myself on my daily Ebay browse and grabbed it

Sadly for right now that's the one record I can say I wont be selling. I have one US copy that I play, and now I will add one sealed US copy, which is the target goal for all the vinyl.

Glad that set went to you FZ. What an awesome all in one collection, sealed no less.

Thanks man. I know it's kind of overkill, seeing as now there is only one LP in there I don't already own sealed, but who honestly could refuse that? Probably a once in a lifetime auction staring you in the face. I couldn't afford to do it, and I couldn't afford not to do it. I guess at the end of the day you can say that's nine sealed LP's NOT going straight onto Ebay at some utterly stupid buy now price.

The NZ sale of Medium Rare isn't going ahead - the board member found a copy elsewhere at a good price, so I'm leaning towards paying a bit of respect to the original collector and keeping them in a box together and adding a copy of any future US releases to the same exact vinyl set. I like the karma factor in just saying they don't get split - seems kind right in many ways.

And as a general question if anyone cares to comment - what the fuck do you put as an insurance value on a full set of sealed US LP's? I have my own idea, and I'm not asking from a blow ass what did I make kind o way, but Its been pointed out to me they should be insured, and I never really thought about it.

I guess here under rarity is the place to gather some thoughts - let me know if you think you have any idea. The more I insure the value the more id pay so its not worth being stupid about over doing it, or under or not doing it.

Yeah, yeah I know - some fucking problem

Hi guys.

Concerning One By One, I heard this vinyl had the worst sound of the Foo's vinyl releases.

I also heard the UK one was rarer.

But, according to you, which one between the European or the US version sounds better?

Thanks a lot.
