Default Wembley's Greatest Event

Evening all,

Sorry if it's been covered but Foo Fighters' 2008 gigs at Wembley have been included, in a shortlist of 25, as the greatest Wembley event of all time.

Cast your vote here if you like. If not, no bother, just thought I'd mention it.

I'm torn between Foos and West Ham beating Arsenal in the Cup Final in 1980......

My mate said "So Foo Fighters at Wembley was better than England winning the world cup in '66?"

I wasn't at the 66 world cup, how the fook am I supposed to know? Foos was the right choice.

Us winning the 79 final gets my vote. I wasn't even born then and it's still the best.

If anything other than 66 wins it (with Live Aid a distant second), I'd be amazed.

Plenty of great football games to choose from, and Queens and Live Aid is also hard to pass by. But I'm in a Foo Fighters kinda way atm, so it got my vote.

Errr, errr, errr, there's a chance I was at that... It was actually pretty good, not my sort of music at all, but a very well produced show.

*Embarrassing admission ends*

not a great football fanatic, voted foos as it was such a memorable gig, however guns n roses in 1992 were at their peak and it was one hell of a gig,

It seems a bit crazy to have an "all time" Wembley event.

What they should have is an old Wembley (turrets) and a new Wembley (arch) vote.

That way I can vote for West Ham and Foos

Although the way I feel about West Ham at the moment FF win EVERY time......
