You know what’d be a nice announcement on Kimmel
Foo Fighters doing MashUpMonday. The feature was inspired by Kimmel seeing a YouTube vid of FF & Huey Lewis onstage where Dave referred to the band as “Huey Lewis and the Foos” so how about them doing a run of collaborations. Huey Lewis and the Foos? Boyz Foo Men? Foo Live Crew? UFoo? The Foo Radicals?

I want the vinyl, but man it hurts seeing the price difference between the physical and the $2 MP3. Pretty pricey for what I'm assuming is a single song.

The first part of the Play documentary focuses on the behind-the-scenes preparation for the performance, which is unveiled in the second part. “The film is intercut with young musicians from the Join The Band music school in the San Fernando Valley practicing their craft, working relentlessly to get it right, and always coming back to the conclusion that, in Grohl’s words, ‘just like any kid, the reward is just to Play,'” Grohl’s Roswell Films added.
Play will be released to streaming services on August 10th, with a limited edition vinyl to follow on September 28th; the vinyl and digital formats are available to preorder now. So packages for sale that aren't complete packages at all... no video / doc version. No seven angle BR/DVD that you can swap instruments on between the individual takes / channels and the full final version - with the audio and video changing between angles...
WTF I'd have thought that would have been the very FIRST part of a package for this... really rather seriously disappointing.
