That motherfucker and his quiet "promo" trip to Sydney... to sort out major final short notice gig conflicts I'm sure.

OK so wont BE September (too crazy right) but is IN September (the announcement).

I'm thinking anywhere this ANZ summer - which is pretty fucking short notice for our major venues anyway. Fuck me could be before Christmas the way Frontier have thrown it out

By my reckoning Frontier are dropping 12am 7th Sept in all territories.

So it's in order by the graphic here:

NZ will be first, and 12AM is 2 hours 12 minutes away - 1PM Weds UK time!

Been to every NZ gig except Galatos in 03 when I was out of the country and the Town Hall Chch benefit when couldn't get away from work. Shame there is only one this time round.

Maybe we will finally get that Hall repeat though - must be hard to crash a truck between Mt Smart and the CBD surely

I don't care if I'm ever on this website again.... what sick bitch posted " my dog is dying and blah. blah. blah"... i did not think that was least bit amusing and rather scathing..... I don't care if you're God... to joke about that is sick and as a rescuer you had my heart in my throat until I saw your "elitist" excuse for that post.... have a little humanity and humility .... it just might be your dog dying some day.... oh but of course, you're not the type to have a connection like that.... adios

They seem to be talking about the old name of the "no special requests" sticky, which was "My dog is dying and getting married next week when the Foo Fighters are in town!!"

How they misunderstood that to be hateful or what it has to do with the ANZ tour though, no idea.

Auckland gig review (kinda): Auckland was an amazing gig, albeit a wet one, with it pissing down the whole night! I queued from 9am and was 7th at the gate - others were there from 5am! When they finally let us onto the ground, I sprinted and made it to the corner barrier spot on the right - so lucky! Punk band, Ayn Randy, were fun and really appreciated by the crowd. Weezer were in fine form, with lots of fans in the mosh pit.

When Dave and the boys came on, we were cold and soaking wet, but they kept us pretty warm most of the night. It was one of those gigs where both the crowd and the band just went ďfuck the rain, letís go nuts!Ē Out of the 6 times Iíve seen the band, I rate it the best gig, closely followed by the 2008 Auckland concert where Dave face planted the stage during Monkey Wrench.

It was a good set list, and thankfully Dave ditched playing Blackbird in favour of keeping us warmer. Iíd made a sign requesting Wattershed as an encore song, and wrote on the sign that theyíve never played it in NZ (thank Simonís website for that bit of info) - I held the sign up at the start of These Days and saw Dave mouth ďoh, really?!Ē (in the middle of singing the verse!) about it, and I was certain they were gonna do it, but no luck - we got Wheels again, which was a bit of a let down - Wattershed would have made us way warmer, but I guess they havenít played it since the Cheese and Grain gig, so it would have been a bit rough in front of 40,000 (especially with a lot of first-timers there). The gap before the encore dragged on waaay too long, and we got pretty cold waiting.

Highlights for the night? - The whole band and crowd having a great night, especially Taylor - he was smashing it. Getting to hear Chris sing Under My Wheels, Detroit Rock City with Rivers was awesome and seeing him and Chris playing lead side by side was great. I was pleased to see Let It Die back in, which Dave dedicated to us old school fans. Sunday Rain, with Dave changing the lyrics to ďSaturday RainĒ, much to Patís amusement (Iíll try to post video of that today). Only down points for me was Wheels, mostly because I was certain Dave was going to play Wattershed, and after the gig having Yeti throw me a drumstick directly, after I called his name out, only to have some young fucker snatch it out of my hand and bolt away with it - but I guess itís a battle in the mosh pit. Overall, it was fantastic night.

Sadly I've seen that happen so many times - I'm so fed up with all that shit that I don't even wait around for the road crew to hand out stuff anymore.

Glad you had a great time despite the rain and you got a bit of Duran Duran so I hear.....awesome!!!
