I'm confused; is Spaceland the same as Echoplex?

I love that the Aussie is straightening me out on the LA venues!

Dave's radio ditty said Echoplex, but Tim's post says Spaceland. That's why I'm confused.

Tai says I know my way around LA better than she does.

I'm at work so didn't hear the latest radio thingy.

Spaceland is an even better venue than the Roxy.

It's dirty and small and loud as effing hell.

PERFECT VENUE for the Foos. I'm sad I won't be there, but VERY HAPPY for those who get to experience the show. I can't wait for the stories!!!

I think the whole fiasco did screw those they knew the location by driving around LA all day and going to each venue to see if there were Foo Fighters cases that has the traditional FF logo on them. I think it would have been awesome if the show were at Echoplex. Saw Nine Inch Nails there in September 2009. Well I'm thinking of flying out to LA now just to see if there will be anymore gigs but I'm not going to play these games where tickets/wristbands are at another location. Fans are not kitties.

^WHS. Some die hard Foo fans have lives: career, kids, a house 30 miles from the West side.

Yes but they made the whole secret gig like a game. Its not a game. Show up, see if you get in and enjoy the show.

I did win tickets into the 9:30 Club gig in 2005 driving around Baltimore thru 98 Rock. I knew the direction where they were going to around the beltway and I got the last pair of tickets at the location.

My point is that I was aware of the location of the shows, but still couldn't go because I can't take off work or just drop the kids off at the in-laws. Plus, driving from Orange County to the heart of LA in the afternoon is simply a death wish.

Besides, I would probably have a heart attack from all the stress of hauling my ass out there and finding the show sold out. And if anyone suggests I'm too old to go to these secret shows anyway, I'll beat you up with my walker!

Not really.

I live in Newport. Took about an hour last night in prime traffic time.

I met one of the crew at dinner and he said that they switched it up because of the leaks. The band was "pissed". Expect more of the same.

I didn't ask but based on what he was telling me, it will not be Wed or Thu. Prob Friday or Sat.

One thing he did say taht caught my ear was he said they have a "few" more to go.

The energy here is crazy. This place feels like the middle of nowhere, and there are people everywhere with the FF Limo out front.

I'm 44 and feel like I'm 15.

^^^THIS!, every last word of it!

I got your back sister, I'll hold 'em down with my cane whilst you wield the walker! LOL

Maybe they can do an "early bird special" for us seniors....they don't have play any earlier, just give us a head start on the tix! LOL

Oh, to be 21-30ish again and able to show up at these things on a whim! Those were the days!

Exactly.

Great show once again. They added back Enough Space and played an electric version of Skin and Bones (first time ever?) The new album is so good and it keeps getting better for me. THE song for me is Arlandria, followed by I Shoulda Known.

AND for anyone out there who is doubting that there are REAL FF fans at these shows, let me tell you...drove around/waited in line/drank beer with some awesome people today, one of whom came all the way from near Calgary to be at the Roxy show. He was planning on just staying for the day but stayed an extra day for the chance to catch tonight's show (which he did.) And another member of our group flew in from Utah on Sunday night and is flying back home almost as we speek for this opportunity. Cool people, fun night.

Mooselick Jay and SLC Robin, and Eric...nice hanging with you all tonight. Sorry I didn't get a chance to say goodbye, but safe and quick trips to you all.
