Default Foo Fighters cancel the rest of their tour [Merged]

"It is with profound sadness and heartfelt concern for everyone in Paris that we have been forced to announce the cancellation of the rest of our tour. In light of this senseless violence, the closing of borders, and international mourning, we can't continue right now. There is no other way to say it. This is crazy and it sucks. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was hurt or who lost a loved one."

So what will be next? A longer break? So much cancelled Shows in 2015. So much happy fans that got disappointed. There will be something in 2016 from the Foos, I'm sure.

The break is no longer than it was 2 days ago.I think there were only 4 or 5 shows left in the tour.I'm sure next album cycle the boys will be back in the countries they had to cancel.

Always complicated for all the people who had to arrange their trip from far away, hotel and all, but this is the right call.

If this community can arrange to help out the fellows who had to fly out to Paris, Lyon, Torino or Barcelona, that'd be real nice. I know some people came from very far away and it was a real financial effort from them, there are thousands of Foo fans here on the forums, something can definitely be worked out for them.

Totally the right decision. I'm gutted as I was due to go to the Barcalona show but out of respect to those who lost their lives it would not have felt right.

I was due to fly from New York to Barcalona but seeing the horrific scenes last night I totally respect the decision.

Difficult, but the right move. Also terrifying for them that their friends in EODM were in the center of so much brutality.

I had tickets for Paris but I'm glad they have cancelled. It's the right decision. Some things in life are far, far more important than a concert.

Barcelona´s gig was going to be my first Foo show. Many moths waiting for next Thursday, but we have to respect their decision. It has probably been the most difficult tour for the band, hope a strong come back next year and see them playing here in Spain!

I understand this decision, and the show in Paris on Monday is really too soon for that city, who have gone through so much in this act of terror... With lots of other bands cancelling shows, you do get the feeling that this is exactly what they want, for our lives to stop, to disrupt the everyday..

Wise words. I know how excited you were to see them again but in the end of the day it is just a concert.

I don't think this was solely a band decision. There are larger security concerns throughout Europe and home. We don't know what escalation will come from all of this. This is not surprising at all.

Roll on the next time wherever and whenever that may be? Right now I'm just glad I'll get to spend time with my kids on Monday night instead. So many poor families won't be able to spend time together on Monday following these cowardly attacks. My thoughts are with them all.

This.

Hoping things won't get out of hand but this will change Europe.

There are worse things in life than a cancelled concert...

I totally understand it, it would be too soon to party. I just hope these attacks won't ruin our freedom to enjoy life, because then they win.

I'm almost waiting 20 years to see my first non festival FF show, a few more won't make the difference...

My heart goes out to my neighbour country and everyone involved.
FYI suspects of the attack have been arrested here in Brussels, I hope they get them damn bastards .

Remember the stuff on the front page of foofighters.com?

Those of you that have been gracious in your disappointment, the band really has great fans. I have received several scathing emails from not so great fans. I am sure refund information is forthcoming.

It isn't just the band's concern. The countries around the world are putting forth certain safeguards and we aren't privy to the decision making process. The man broke his leg and still performed so let's give the band some credit.

Finally the crew all are friends with other crews and some friends went through a traumatic experience and lives that touched the bands were involved. It shakes everyone up.

The band will share more when they can and they have something to say.

My post wasn't meant to be critic.
I just asked myself how it will go on because of the (now) really crazy tour-year 2015.

I know that they all are shocked and so am I. And I can totally understand the decision of the band to cancel all upcoming Shows. In my opinion it's not safe enough at the Moment to Play a 15000-Fans-Show in France.

The guys deserve their Holidays. And to everyone who is affected by this cancellation: The band will come up with something the next years and I'm sure we all will see them again live.
