My brother managed to get only 1 ticket for tomorrow, I'm desperate to go as well so if anyone has a plus one for tomorrow (or tonight) then please message me!

I'll be lurking around the forums early tomorrow to see if anyone's got anything going spare!

I agree with you, but very few places seem to have a system like that in place as its very difficult to implement, it must be, otherwise they'd all be doing it.

Especially when you have (probably) 20,000+ clicking the twitter link at the same time, how do you differentiate the time from each connection when more than the capacity of these venues will likely have the exact same time? Who goes first if 2,000 people have the exact same time?

But then is it fairer to say tickets on the door and have people queueing around the block as soon as they hear about it? Which makes it unfair on people who dont live near or have work etc

It is truly gutting though. Islington assembly rooms has a 230 capacity balcony seated area, I bet thats all going to record label and industry people...

On Tuesday at 4:00:05, I debated for a few seconds if I could make the trip to brighton. A few seconds later, they were gone.

Yesterday 4:00:05, I went to the vans page and they were gone.

This morning they had 12 pairs of tickets at the vans store. They tweeted about it at around 9:15. Got to the store around 9:50. There was a line of around 50 people already.

Today at 4:00:05 went through the link...gone.

It has been frustrating...

There is something out there - I've been in one for something recently, it told you where you were in the queue - I was something like 8,000th or whatever - each time you refreshed the page the number went down.

But otherwise - lottery all the way - it's much fairer, especially for those who aren't available at a set time of the day - everyone has a shot, pay up front and get charged if they are successful - it's what Pearl Jam use for their fan club tickets.

Every 50 or so Refreshes of the page I get a drop down box for 1 tickets and the buy button, then when you press it, it just goes to tickets unavailable.

Do they trickle a few more out or is it just one big flood of orders? It's very frustrating!

I reckon this one might be acoustic? The Assembly Rooms aren't much of a rock venue.

There definitely is a system out there... Southampton use it for their football tickets... Takes you into a virtual queue and says you're..58th in line or whatever.

Seems unfair in these guys that's I've read up on above and the ticket fuck up

What they should do is introduce a fan club that costs £25 a year and gives a free gift and access to this forum. And the people in that fan club get access to gig tickets a day early or get special intimate gigs put on specifically for them.

Most big bands do it, FF should do it, but for some reason they refuse. Then loyal fans would be rewarded and until then the ticket situation for gigs such as these intimate shows will be a farce.

then it would be the same fans at every small venue gig. surely you can see how selfish that is?

Not true because I know of people getting them gone 4.30 by refreshing.

I am sure they are all gone by now though.

How is it selfish?

If you lay on a club show for a fan club then obviously those fan club members are going to turn up if given the opportunity to. Iron Maiden do it. Metallica do it. There are 2 bands bigger than Foo Fighters.

It's more about a "reward" to those who are loyal.

Look, end of the day 10,000 or more people wanted to go. 80,000 see these guys at big gigs

No one person deserves to go any more than anyone else. We get our hopes up but at best everyone had something like a 1 in 25 chance to get through, 400 lucky souls did. I'm happy for them, sad I couldn't get a pair, but that's how it goes.

Being angry or upset only causes you stress. Life goes on

maybe the Foo Fighters want their shows to be accessible to everyone, no matter how small the show, these aren't shows for a 'fan club'

honestly, you can have every version of every album under the sun and your £25 a year membership but you are no more deserving of little timmy working on min wage who loves the foos but has never afforded to see them before (i'm taking the piss but you get my point)

don't be selfish
