Well yeah of course they will google - my point was that they won't be able to find stuff like the BoB at RETAIL prices - because it was a limited sale. They WILL find it - but on eBay it's 60 pound plus and you don;t want to be paying duty on that price if you only paid $20.

And yes - here we would email them any kind of proof of purchase, Ive even used a bank statement before that showed the credit card charge to prove there was no (or less) duty payable

Plus they had to have already had a plan to have them IN the UK for O2 bundles AND Foo Arms merch sales.

SO:

There looks to be no UK pressing vinyl version of BOB - prob then all US pressed and printed. One run done in July/August my guess. Shipped through One Nation channels to Merchbar & ON US & ON UK. On shipped to be ready for Arms & O2 concert pickup.

First announced for Merchbar with a big percentage available. When that percent was gone they closed up the ordering, BUT there were dedicated leftovers that are held for defects etc. IF they had more than enough spares, BUT nowhere near enough to cover ALL those channels AND reopen sales anywhere else, THEN they start to quietly give them away to the dedicated fans at random via their deluxe orders, and are able to do it in BOTH the US and the UK at once...

The main point here is there was one run and done of X copies. It's just like a Record Store Day limited release. 2000, 3000 copies. Doesn't matter how you get one, it doesn't actually make it any less rare because I dont believe there is any possible way these arent all ONE printing - there simply hasn't been time to do more - they are just going out in various ways based on availability and strategy until they are all gone.
Yes, interesting. Thanks for that, that does seem a likely way of doing it.

Nope. Arrived here on the 16th but no delivery attempt yet. No customs card through the door yet either.

So as expected I had the dreaded silver customs card waiting for me... £12.22 to pay...
On the up side I should have my BoB tomorrow!

BoB came today in Ireland. The packaging is pretty lame, these things usually have slightly thicker card and maybe a different finish, but instead this just seems like a cheap sleeve with a black logo. I don't have the regular version but I'm tempted to get it instead. Is it much worse?

In my experience they don't always put a card through. At least twice I've had to just go down to the PO myself and ask if there are any parcels held for me.

Aw no. That's no good - you mean the sorting office? I might have to have a look then. Still no card.

My tracking info just says that it's arrived at international carrier. Does that mean it could be at the depot?

It’s probably at your local sorting office now. No tracking after it hits the country according to Royal Mail, which is BS as there is tracking because of The customs charge.

Ah, that's rubbish. They could at least tell you that you have Customs charges to pay in the tracking.

Thanks for that though I'll try and go up Thursday night and see if there's anything there.

every time i've had to pay a customs charge there has always been one of those white/grey cards telling me of the pleasure.

every time any other delivery for me is missed (not signed for as they do leave the cards then), I get no red card left telling me it's either at the depot or a neighbours.

£12.22 for the robbing gits for me as well (for BoB).

on that note I did just order something from a US website that outsources it straight to 'Fedex Cross Border' who deal with their international orders, and they put the fees up front as they can be worked out (basically just 20% VAT). They then get sent the stuff and then ship it by said company.

At least with that they tell you the fees up front, and don't chuck on an extra fee to 'cover costs'
