Default Autograph Legit?

I found a business that sells autographed music photos that states on their website that they have been in business since 1994 and provide a certificate of authenticity. They appear to be legitimate but I am skeptical. They have Foo Fighters autographs for sale. Has anyone heard of Lincoln Music Signings? They are based out of the UK. This is the link - www.signedmusicphotos.co.uk/index.htm.

I have never heard of them, but that doesn't mean anything. If I were you I would try and find a copy of the lithograph signed as part of the package from the Wasting Light release. Check the number against those posted on the board forum to make sure somebody didn't forge it and just chose a number that one of us has already claimed.

I have no idea about the company, but the signatures look pretty close...I have like one autographed setlist and an autographed CD from forever ago and have no idea where they are, but it seems to hold up

PS I never get why anyone would want to pay for an autographed whatever. Isn't the real appeal the interaction and meeting someone you like and all that? I know, not everybody gets that chance, but I can't see the appeal of throwing down a couple hundred books for something that someone else got autographed (for free) under false pretenses....

I'd agree for the most part, however for something to hang on the wall its pretty cool. But I think in most cases the thrill of the autograph isn't the actual signature, but the experience of meeting whomever, which is lost in a purchase.

When I was young I got the opportunity to play catch briefly with Trot Nixon, a Red Sox outfielder. While I had a couple autographs too that meant so much more than the signatures although they took about the same amount of time.

Hard to say, I have Dave's autograph and 5 other people got one at the same time and they all look completely different! He changes it every second!

Did you throw the ball just a little out of Trot's range to see if he'd unnecessarily dive for it?

If I were to get it for myself I would probably keep it with my Wasting Light LP. Was going to get the autograph for my niece, who is also a huge fan. Appreciate the replies...thanks.

I think there were a few other factors at play.

You can't see it but I'm totally pantomiming a needle in my ass....
