Default Kicking the ass out of our blues

My husband and I both lost our jobs this month, with a mortgage and a million other fuckin' bills to pay, but we just watched the Foo from Wembley for the 100th time and it made us forget all our problems for a little while.....I know the guys don't read these posts, but if there's a chance in a million...........thank you. Nothing kicks the ass out of the blues like a little Foo!

Thumbs up Re: Kicking the ass out of our blues

That's true! I can always count on the Foo Fighters to make me feel a little better. Right now, though, I'm feeling a little sad - after reading some of the responses to my query of the Long Road to Ruin video. I feel a little like crying, in fact. I'm currently listening to the Foos, as I'm typing this - so I hope I can feel better, soon.

Thank you guys for the support.

Yeah, the Foo Fighters have lots of great songs - and they know how to have fun. I watched the clip where he was messing around with Stairway to Heaven, and I thought it was hilarious. Dave Grohl is such a cool person.

BTW, I like the way Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones made guest appearances at the Wembley Stadium show - and Led Zeppelin is my other favourite group.

I wish you better luck, as well, Foolata! *hugs*

There's nothing like a little Foo to kick us away from our troubles. Did the same to me just yesterday. Am preparing for a surgery and had to drive around to pick up several items to get ready. Naturally, the car CD was equipped with Foo CDs. Put in the latest and cranked it up, opened the roof window (whatever it's called) and away I went. Sun was shining and the Foos made me smile as they always do. Hope your troubles resolve themself. RESOLVE....hmmmm.

Oh, I love the song Resolve! I understand how preparing for a surgery must make you feel, and I do wish you luck. *hugs*

If nothing else, just let the beauty of the Foos music move you to tears - rather than your troubles.

Amen. Foo was the primary soundtrack to my last semester of school, when I was writing 2 theses and studying constantly. I can't hear any of those songs now without an instant flashback.

It's also good for doing work around the house. The music can really motivate you, and then the work doesn't seem so bad. The only time you shouldn't be listening to the Foo Fighters, is when you have to concentrate quite hard on something. Then the music can be a bit distracting, because you want to listen to it. Foos are also good for exercising to.

Foos + washing the dishes or cleaning the house = perfect!

Of course, I feel sorry for you too, Foolata - and I feel a bit stupid that I didn't say that in my first post. I hope everything will be better soon.
