Secret performances like that are generally done to promote a new album, build hype and interest just before it releases. With LP8 not due until November such an appearance in August is unlikely, IMO.

Be awesome if they did it again, be great if they came to MK Bowl one more time, after all they're going to be levelling it soon and it will be gone forever. I know I prefer to see them there than at the stadium, I know 85k people who would too.

Checked this thread again to see if any news.

You lucky bastards in London always get these short-notice small gigs, which are pretty much a non starter for those of us at the other end of the UK.

Dave always goes on about one of their best gigs being at the legendary Barrowlands in Glasgow so it would be nice if he did a gig there even though they are more likely to play the massive Hydro arena. I saw the Pixies and Arcade Fire play there last year and their gigs were better than when they played big shows this year.

From the Invictus page: "The line-up, topped by this special Foo Fighters performance..."

Wonder what they put in the special meaning?

The only question mark for me is how long they play for. If this turns out to be like those other all day 'festival' type shows with loads of acts over 5/6 hours you end up with the earlier acts doing 10 minutes each and the headliner only on 60-90 minutes.
