They are going full blown epic on this tour. The venues in Sydney, Melbourne and Queensland are all around double the sizes of the stadiums they played last tour. Adelaide is the only one which is smaller, and Perth is the same.

It's not the best timing for me, but can't miss the Foos in Melbourne. Holy fuck though, tickets are expensive.

A full Feb tour also probably makes the chances of a promo visit beforehand a little less likely and the dates so far don't leave much time for smaller club gigs...

Well a few hours before the frontier/ff page changed at 2am or whenever it was this morning here it was showing the WL tour with the same font. So I had it down to whoever does this stuff at Frontier having access to the font set lol. But if you meant other dates then ANZ then I have no idea.

EDIT
OK just read your post re Wembley - yes it does seem a little odd, has there been a FF typeset in the SH font I can't recall. Maybe it didn't look edgy enough lol

The pre-sale password for Frontier is going out to anyone and everyone who selected "Rock" in their mailout preferences. So pre-sale time will be fun.

We don't get the individual custom password like they usually do?

"The pre-sale ecard will be emailed on Thursday 6 November from 12noon AEDT to Frontier Members who have selected the Rock music preference - if you would like to receive the e-card, make sure you have selected this preference." - from the mailout

Frontier have done a great job to ensure fans don't get missed on the ticket price.

Foo Fighters are nothing short of amazing live but $200 for a stadium seat is bordering on taking the p*ss, especially out at Homebush on a Thursday night.

Hobart looks like the best ticket on the tour. 5000 capacity and its indoor.

So I guess it's both? Everyone that's checked rock gets a unique code?
I don't think this is anything new, worked the exact same way for the last 2 (3?) tours.

Yeah same ole man - for us "old school" Frontiers dude/sses:

1) Go to:
http://www.frontiertouring.com/foofighters

2) Click the My Pre-Sale Info tab

3) Log in on the right hand side

4) Dates & Venues get listed

5) Click the Pre-Sale Soon button on the gig you want (but all will be the same code)

6) Your Pre-Sale Code is xxxxxxxxx

Wonder the price will be an indicator of UK prices if they do stadiums here?

Wonder if the price will be an indicator of what it takes to get a Kickstarter gig accepted

F#@K Re: Australian Tour

I dont see how you can justify $200 for a stadium show. Very disappointing. Wish they would release the seating maps so I can see the seating categories. The $100 seats may be too far away to be worthwhile.

I really don't see how they can justify charging $200 for a stadium show. They offer next to no production in their live shows. Foos aren't a stadium band. A stadium show should be a spectacle not just the band standing on a couple of 1960's rugs with a couple of vintage amps onstage to look cool and the most bare minimum lighting rig available.

When compared with other bands who have put on stadium shows in Sydney, their 2011 SFS gig was embarrassing to be honest. Even the OBO tour had a great production. I don't get how they've gone from that, to pretty much no production.

Hopefully they do another Manning Bar sideshow. I'd rather go to that.

Well, this is what happens when this band is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, in the world. Besides, traveling their gear (even if it is to the bare minimum amps and decent lights) to Australia is extremely expensive compared to US and Europe from what I've heard.

That and with the fact that they are big enough to do stadiums (which for any act in any location is expensive to operate), well, that's not surprising the prices are what they are.

How fast are the pre sale tickets likely to sell out? Still not sure if I'm going, but I can't get away from work next tue, or thurs, when general tickets go on sale.

I guess it depends what tickets you're after.

Hobart will sell quickly given smaller capacity and better chance for a more intimate show.
Sydney will be better but if you're after good seats they're definitely going to sell quick.

For what it's worth, the apps for Ticketek and Ticketmaster are a lot better than using their websites. Ticketek usually allocates more tickets for their mobile app than the website.

Good luck everyone.

Wouldn't all tickets be available across all mediums? If not that is total bull shit.I hate buying tickets online, I'd much rather get them at an outlet where you can actually choose the tickets you want.

Before you check out and complete purchase, if you don't like the tickets you've been allocated, you can start over. But it's a lucky dip and you might end up being worse off than when you started. It's the same if you go to a physical vendor - they can only hold those tickets for a certain number of minutes, and meanwhile, others around them are disappearing by the second.
