I love that set list. Love opening with This is a Call, that'd have surprised me.

5 covers is fine IMO when your set list is TWENTY SIX SONGS long. That's a LOT for bands of the Foos' stature, since their shows often eclipse the 2+ hour mark.

as for Stacked Actors, I loved the extended jams where Chris & Dave would be on opposite sides of the venue trading off solos, but as someone said above it did get a bit stale if you went often (as I do). But since I adore that song it never bothered me.

also, is it me or does FF only/frequently play Wheels outside the U.S? Without looking it up, am I to assume that was a pretty big hit outside the country?

yeah, I seem to recall Dave mentioning that somewhere. I hope they play it here, I love that song.

I remember him playing it by himself at NYC (MSG) on Nov. '11. He mentioned Wheels was only huge in Germany

I actually thought the covers were filler for Sonic Highways songs until the album was released. I dig em when they feel spontaneous but 5 does seem like a lot. Still, they are great songs.

Looking at this set list I'm a bit underwhelmed. Wasting Light seems like it could have been represented a bit better. Throw out Wheels and Big Me for Rope and Bridge Burning and lose two covers at least.

I love a couple of good covers, when they're thrown into the set for funsies. But having a big chunk of them in the set feels like filler, and with twenty years of songs to choose from, they don't need it.

A couple covers (2) is fine. They have plenty of songs. Let's hear some deep cuts motherfuckers!! Forget wheels.

I agree, you can't please everyone. I know it's been said before and I'll say it again. If you are touring to support an album, play more than a few songs from the new record. Especially since there are only 8 songs on this record.

The only gripe I have about the Foos when they tour is not playing enough songs from their new records.

That's why I loved the secret shows leading up to wasting light. The whole album was great, so to hear it played front to back was an amazing treat. Doesn't happen often with bands willing to do that.

I agree. I want to hear more of the new stuff, especially The Feast & The Famine & What Have I done/As God as my witness

Down to only four covers at their last show. Progress

Four from SH is also good. I think for any album you're touring that should be an absolute minimum, even if it only has eight total. 4-6 is about right, I think.

Did they definitely play it? That wasn't in the list earlier, hence Dave T. saying we were down to four. It's back to five now with YMB.

Ugh. Young Man Blues doesn't even really make sense as a voice rester. There's not a lot of singing but when there is he's scream-singing.

I was in the Buenos Aires show yesterday. I enjoyed Detroit Rock City and Under Pressure but 5 covers was pushing it. Low point of the show for me, I love Miss You but I would have enjoyed it if the Foos played it, not some guests who may be legends in their own right but I had no idea who they were... I wanted to see the FF.

I wish they would have played TFATF instead of C, ITC or O, but well, that's just my opinion. Still, only 1 song from ST... at least it was ISA which I hadn't heard last time they were hear.

Other than that, it was an incredible show, long and superb. Loved it, hope they come back soon!
