![]() ...(which is what the general consensus these recent collaborations are for). Guessing all slots aren't all ready booked, who else would you like to see Dave/the band get together with based on this (maybe not exhaustive) list from Sound City's MySpace page:
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, The Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon, Rage Against The Machine, Seal, Nirvana, Garbage, Joan Osborne, Ben Folds Five, Fleetwood Mac, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Elton John, The Black Crowes, The Grateful Dead, L7, Neil Young, Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Bob Dylan, The Allman Brothers, Redd Kross, The Cult, Maria McKee, Slayer, Elvis Costello, Masters Of Reality, Pat Benatar, Rick Springfield, Blind Melon, The Jayhawks, Robben Ford, Santana, Jenny Lewis, Charles Manson, Barry Manilow, Rancid, Kyuss, Peter Frampton, Cheap Trick, WAR, George Harrison, Danzig, The Wallflowers, Bad Religion, John McVie, Seal, Evel Knievel, Queens Of The Stone Age, Buckingham Nicks, South Park, Guns 'n' Roses, Robert Cray, Dokken, Slipknot, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, The Smashing Pumpkins, Lenny Kravitz, Willie Nelson, Metallica, Foreigner, Johnny Cash, Joe Walsh, Weezer, REO Speedwagon, The Jackson 5, Foreigner, Bill Cosby, The Horror Pops, The Melvins, Warren G., Sammy Hagar, Dio, Tears for Fears, Engines Of Aggression, Ratt, Donovan, Buddy Guy, Posssum Dixon, Carl Perkins, Ry Cooder, Frank Black, Perfect Circle, Amen. I highlighted the bands already involved in some capacity (Butch's role gets Garbage covered). There are obviously a few easily made connections to the band in there but I'd like to see a collaboration from left field.

Ry Cooder would be nice after Dave citing it as a big influence prior to the acoustic IYH stuff.

![]() I read on a Fleetwod Mac fanpage/twitter account that they are expected to be involved? Not sure where the original source is from but that would be pretty cool.
Frank Black,Weezer,Tool,NIN,Smashing Pumpkins,Metallica,RATM,Neil Young - any of those would make me happy!

![]() Barry was very complimentary about Dave at that Hollywood Star ceremony - this could be the logical conclusion.

![]() I ran into Alain Johannes at the Viper Room last December (The Arthur Channel with ol' pal drummer Jack Irons) and he said he did some work for Dave on this documentary.
He was also heading back out to the desert to work on some new 'Queens Of The Stone Age' stuff that night. Maybe Dave is doing some work with the Queens (note: pure unverifiable and dangerously irresponsible speculation on my part). |

![]() I had not thought of that, but yes, that would be nice
![]() I'd love to hear them do "Hot Blooded". Dave could do vocals, since their singer went all holy roller on them. If FF covered that live, every girl in the place would be swooning, this one included. I know this doesn't have anything to do with Sound City, I'm just sayin'... ![]() |

![]() Neil Young and Elvis Costello would be amazing. Ben Folds, as a guy who owns his own studio and does production, would be interesting to talk to as well as to record with. I'll bet Dave will get the Melvins involved somehow. He has tenuous links with a lot of bands on that list.
George Harrison's not alive, but you know that's going to be worked in somehow
