I don't think its to do with distance, its how many tickets will sell, if every show in the UK sold out they'd do 10 shows or more.. the London shows haven't yet sold out, so thinking about additional shows, would come with demand.

The band used to play every corner of the UK, up to Aberdeen etc, but obviously its a lot easier to play 3 big shows than 10 arena shows.

If the Foo's found out they could sell out 90K shows in Scotland you can bet they'd be there.

afternoon All
Questions if I may?
this is the first time I have purchased gig ticket that uses E-Tickets.
does anyone know from past experience how far in advance you get the tickets to print at home?

I have a group of 7 people to manage and want to distribute tickets well before hand just in case.

Usually a lot sooner than you would get a physical ticket, it does vary from gig to gig though- I've had some that have turned up the day after I've purchased and some that have taken a couple of months, so really- how long is a piece of string?

Are you on Facebook? Join the events on there perhaps, or post on FF fan pages?
So I must be being thick. I can't see the Gigs and Tour fan-to-fan resale thing anywhere?

Fortunately DH got some Saturday tickets this morning (yey!) so we now have some Friday ones that are surplus.

It's a bit confusing, I had to ask Customer Service @ gigsandtours because I couldn't find it when trying to sell my Saturday spare.

It's here: https://www.seetickets.com/content/fan-to-fan
I think see/gandt are run under same company

would it be a bad idea if FF used the 'paperless ticketing system' that was successfully used by Iron Maiden n Radiohead?
Seems like the concept was a huge success for Iron Maiden as it showed that tout sites were down by 95% for Iron Maiden, showing only just over 200 tickets on secondary sites for there recent UK/Europe tour.

Glad to say, it was refreshing going to a show without seeing any touts lingering around n hearing those words "any spare tickets to buy or sell"

Aha, great! Thank you muchly. I had found the seeticket resale site and thought, oh, if only I had seetickets this would be quite straightforward. And lo, I have (sort of).

well at the o2 for the gig checking peoples id's it added on enough time that some people missed the first 15 minutes of the foos. it has its pros and cons, but as said on other threads for a stadium it would be more difficult.

Plus for gigs like that, the touts can still arguably get in 3 people and then do whatever they want. It might improve the situation but it wouldn't eliminate it completely.

On that note, there are still a couple of tickets appearing every few minutes on G&T and Seetickets for London. (If it says tickets not available, they are in someones basket and could become available if they time out).

If it says sold out then they could still become available if an order is cancelled/payment declined for some reason.

Only if its said sold out for a while (30 minutes) then they will be sold out then at a guess.

edit: Saturday London might just have completely sold out.

I'd buy one... Not sure I need 7!

Wait no... I just spent all my money on tickets. Random crap must wait

Bought 4 tshirts, a baseball shirt, a hoody, 2 mugs and a bag this summer! That'll do for now.

Right?

Don't think that really discounts there being more, he can just as easily write a new note saying "thanks for selling out those three, here are x more" type thing.
