Default How far do you generally have to travel to see the Foo?

I know people travel far and wide to see the band and their friends (I have as well!) but in general how far is the nearest reliable tour stop?

For example, mine would be Boston or Montreal which is a 10-12 hour drive, but Toronto makes more financial sense since I have family that lives there. However, even though I've never seen them in Boston, that would be my answer (or the "8-12 hours" option).

Just curious how far the average fan travels to see the band, I know there are whole parts of the world they've never been to, so I'm in a pretty good position.

Edit: I'm talking hypothetical car distances, I realize not everyone knows this so take your best guess, if they've never been anywhere remotely near you, the answer is probably 20+

I usually see them in London which is about an hour away from my town - then however long the tube takes to get to wherever they actually are. I have, however driven further, and gone to see them and Iíve also flown to a different country to see them, then driven a few thousand miles to go and see them again. But generally, an hour or so.

Saw them in Richmond which was 5 1/2 hrs. Seeing them in Pittsburgh which is about 4 hrs. Could see them other places that would only be 3 or so hours, but wanted to go to Pittsburgh. Probably going to CalJam which is a totally different story all-together!

Oh yeah! I briefly considered CalJam18 when it was announced, myself. I know folks on this board in particular travel far and wide to see the band (and their friends). For the purposes of this poll, I was just curious about the minimum distance, which I could have made clearer It's just something I've been curious about for awhile.

It's been an assortment for me. One time 45 mins and farthest show was 5-6 hrs. I'm a big road tripper, but wouldn't drive more than 6 hrs unless I was going to MSG or Caljam. I'm also in the middle of nowhere about 2-3 hrs from the nearest concert venues.

It's looking near impossible that they'll ever hit up Newcastle now - maybe in their earlier days but now, even with our own arena, we're too small for them - so it's a three-hour trip to Sydney!

The shows ive been to were all 20+hours away but I chose those because there was another draw such as friends in the area or a vacation planned there I could have gone to shows alot closer but i really dont mind the drive.

I've usually been lucky in the band hitting my city at least once a tour. If I go to more than one, it's varied... anywhere from 4-12 hours away. I've flown out once before too for the weekend.

Was lucky enough to see them at home (Austin) the first time.

This year we drove 8 hours to New Orleans.

Annnnd now the entire family is going to see them at Austin360 Amphitheater in April 2018 :-D

4 or 5 hours. The trip isn't really direct if I want to go to Paris.

I think either Poland or Lisbon is the furthest I've travelled from the UK. I would love to see them elsewhere in the world if I had the funds. But as the OP says I know people who have travelled different continents, and half way across the world - I love it.

Lisbon is the furthest. But getting back from Milton Keynes to South London took longer in 2008!
The O2 was 3 miles in September. I floated home.
Been to Berlin twice. I was debating Seattle in September as I'll be "vaguely" in the area for Burning Man but it totally clashes unfortunately.

Furthest was Milton Keynes - took about 2-3 hours (not 100% sure)

Then anything between 30mins-1hr30 on public transport.

I'm around 3 hours from Chicago. That's the most likely place to see them. However, I live very close to Champaign, IL so was thrilled to see them at my "home" venue.
