Default Needing the help of Foo fans who are musically enclined!

hey yall!
So i recently picked up the mandolin and have been teaching myself to play it. It's going, if somewhat slowly, but now I'm hearing mandolins pop up everywhere in music I used to listen to quite often and well, I'm thinking of tackling one such song of the Foo.

the song: Times Like These from the Skin & Bones album.

So I was wondering if any of you know what the tabs might be for that specific instrumental, where all the instruments jump in somewhere in the middle of the song, or if you just have guitar flatpick tabs for TLT that would be cool too!

This may not be what you are looking for, but I find that if I'm trying to learn a song I get more out of it (and usually end up with a better product) if I try learning the song by listening to it, rather than reading tabs. It may sound difficult, but if you stick at it you will find that you start getting pieces right.

A good starting point for doing this is having a really good listen to the part you're trying to learn within the song, then working it out on the lowest string. More often than not that will dictate the progression you need to follow.

If you're looking for tabs, try fftabs.com. It has all the guitar parts which may (or may not) be of use to you.

Good luck!

thanks for the reply, I've been trying that by listening to the song continuously. I'm still learning the ropes(or strings ba-dum-tss) so I'm no where near to playing anything yet, but when I do, I want to hear it then play it for sure.
