I know, I really don't understand all the panicking! We haven't even got a single or album release date yet, we're not going to get full on tour dates before that! The dates announced so far as just festival dates and special shows, which FF don't have a lot of control over when they're announced. Then shows like MK are always announced a long time in advance.

Like I said above, the first US tour dates last time around were only announced two months AFTER ESP&G was released.

It's not 1995 so I don't think a lot of cities (US or otherwise) can guarantee 2 or 3 shots at em over a 18 month timespan, but I mean, c'mon.....

No clue. I think that's usually festival season in Europe, but I wouldn't be surprised with a Summer tour.

In other live FF news, the band has announced its first U.S. show (so far) of 2011: a May 21 headlining appearance at the Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, AL. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. CST Wednesday, February 2, and will be available via http://Hangoutmusicfest.com or 888-512-SHOW. The show is the second of many domestic dates to be announced in an upcoming world tour, the first being a May 27 appearance at the Sasquatch! Festival in George, WA. Other recently announced FF dates abroad include headlining appearances at the UK’s Isle of Wight, the Netherlands’ PinkPop, Wulheide Stadium in Berlin, and numerous others across the UK and Europe including an already sold out 130,000 capacity July 2 & 3 headline “weekender” at the Milton Keynes Bowl in the UK.

Anyone know how to get backstage passes for this festival for the FF? they have "Super VIP" passes but no meet & greets & it's $900.

FF played & filled FedEx Forum a few years back in Memphis... I'm not sure Beale St. Music Fest could handle them! They were AMAZING, as always.

I've sworn off festivals, or I'd be mighty tempted to go to Sasquatch this year. There are some interesting bands and I've got a soft spot for Sasquatch.

The best thing about festival season is that we don't have a festival here. The festivals apparently force bands to black out nearby cities for a period of time. This encourages bands to play cities they might not otherwise hit (like mine) because they're blacked out of LA, Chicago, etc. It worked out really well for me last year.

Anyhow, my money would be on bigger bands like Foos touring US arenas in fall. It's the little bands that try to slam in small shows in between hitting festivals. But you never know, right?

Radio 1Live has already a hint on its homepage, the full announcement will be made on Feb. 19th

Most likely you will have to listen to the radio (I guess some local radio stations will also give away a few tickets) and call them at certain times and anwser some questions to get tickets, it will be impossible if you're from outside Germany i guess...

Finally saw the hint on the 1Live Homepage now...if they're doing it like that it's truly a huuuge secret who's going to play.
The stream you can listen to online is the actual radio station, right? So it all depends on the stupid phone hotline, and if it actually works from another country.

though, if they'd set an exact hour when the announcement will be made, I could drive into Germany and call from there.
