Nate - Lieutenant discussion
Let's discuss!
What will it sound like? This is the most mysterious man in Foo Fighters, he may sound like anything. I never heard his "Our Beacon is Light" score/songs because I never found the movie, will it sound like that? I'm imagining a chill album, with lots of Rami in it, for some reason. March 2015, it's fairly close, I can't wait for this!

He's been seen a couple of times with some equipment that may suggest something more electronic. But he's posted some photos of Instagram showing him working with Arlie John Carstens from Juno. So it really could be anything. That's what's so exciting - considering where he's been, what rabbit will he pull out of his hat?

Did any of you ever check out The Fire Theft, one of Nate's past projects? Basically SDRE 2.0, but sounded way cooler, IMO.

New(ish) Nate project, Atoms and Void. This band's website says they've been recording for some nine years, so it's unclear when (or even how extensively) Nate recorded with them. He's the first musician listed among an apparently rotating cast of musicians on their "about" page.
If you look back through their blog, there are images of Nate playing/recording scattered throughout going back quite a few years. EDIT: More of Nate on this page, as well as William Goldsmith. Last edited by OldFooFan : December 6th 2014 at 03:12 AM.

Very good song. Hearing it makes me wish that Foo Fighters was more of a collaborative effort.
And I think it's Nate singing. It sounds enough like his speaking voice to me, at least.

Ahlaaavit!!
I'd like a little more throat but not sure it'd fit the music. Musically it's awesome, sounds indie, sounds slightly 90's, strings (yay!). I'm fucking sold.
