I can't believe it is 14 years now and we still haven't heard these. They are freaking demos of songs we all know, for God's sake! After all, we heard the TCATS demos leak and the world didn't end.

This is preposterous at this point. Anyone want to (somehow or another, YouTube or otherwise) put an end to this?

might not be a big deal for us but it is for Dave and the band, they don't like the material, they spent a million dollars with that and hated it so much that they threw it away. as much as I'd LOVE to hear those, I can fully comprehend why we didn't and I really don't mind if we never do, that means creators I admire have at least a little bit of control over what people are listening to, that in a world where it's almost impossible to keep anything a secret, must be a good feeling.

I hate it when I see old drawings I did and that I hate now and I'm nobody, can't even begin to imagine that feeling blown up to worldwide proportions.

I somehow managed to get my hands on 2 tracks from it, Have it All and Comeback before they leaked to youtube, I treasured those like crazy and had NO intention whatsoever to post them anywhere, bums me out so much to see them on youtube.

They're not demos. There are 1X1 demos, but we've never heard any of them.

Yeah, but two point: Those were demos, whereas the million $ tracks aren't, and only two songs from the TCATS demos surfaced. The rest haven't surfaced, and they're even older than the million $ tracks.

The band is really good at not letting out demos and unreleased stuff. The stuff that surfaces is really the exception. Very few of the band's demos and unreleased songs have ever come out. Shit, I'm *still* waiting for the Bear Creek session and more TCATS demos. Being a fan in '95 and '96, when everything the band did seemed inevitably to surface (Dave's FF demo, Evening sessions, Bob Lang "Down in the Park" session) I got spoiled into thinking that would be the norm. No such luck. Since '97, The two and a half million $ tracks and two TCATS demos are literally the only songs out of many hundreds of unreleased songs to have surfaced. The surfacing of songs the band doesn't want to release is almost unheard of.

There's a member on here who is slowly working his way through 1x1 and professionally mixing and mastering it using the original instrument stems.
They are up on YouTube.

Every time someone with the demos teases us with the damn thing I get a feeling that must be similar to road rage.

I've given up, I'll never hear the damn demos that these dudes have, it's not ok but what the hell, it's only been my favourite band for 19 years now.

Ha, this inspired me to listen to that for the first time in a really, really long time.....


It's not really one of my favorites either way, but I think the final version still sounds a little better
