Itíd be silly to think the prospect of a UK CalJam was never raised at some point during the promotion/tour scheduling and for whatever reason itís been passed over in favour of stadiums (while QOTSA have their own 1 day mini-festival instead).

CalJam is in their backyard, has all the infrastructure already set up for camping & performing. Why would you take something like that on overseas when itís logistically & financially easier to just play a stadium?

I would never say it hasn't been brought up. Given the poor R and L line-up this year, in terms of rock bands, my concern is that the days of the 'rock' Festival may well be numbered. I agree CalJam takes place, effectively, in their backyard, but they are pretty fond of the UK. Dave has said several times that it is where the FF became a band. It It's not unthinkable that they could curate a CalJam-type festival here too.
