Default The Gorge

Hoping to score tickets tomorrow to take myself and my 15 and 17 year old to the Gorge at George show. Really hoping I get through! Should be a great venue. Anyone else shooting for that show?

I'll go to the show, but no way do I ever buy tickets on the onsale date/time and pay full price or all of the fees. Too expensive and too stressful. I wait till a few days before the show and score them off craigslist. Works every time and I usually pay around 50%-60% of face value, excluding fees.

I picked up tickets to the gorge show this morning. We also got floor tickets for the Calgary show in August during beat the bots. I had a hard time deciding which tickets to go for at the gorge - the pit area looks pretty nuts, and I read some reviews that said the lawn seating sounds really good and the views are amazing. Went for lawn but now I am second guessing myself - what if I want to get up close!

Any thoughts on seating at this venue anyone?

I GOT IN!! WOO HOO! I did the opposite and went for the floor GA seats. Might end up being a big mosh pit but will have big strong young men with me (my 15 and 17 year old sons). Decided to go the extra dough and get them up front for their first big show. I hope it is not TOO crazy!!

The seats on the lawn, as I remember, can sound very good. Visually, it can seem a pretty long ways away, depending on where you are. But my memory is from a long time ago now.

Glad I didn't go for tickets during the pre sale. I am the road manager for a Seattle band and I found out yesterday that we are trying really hard to be the opening band at the Gorge for the Foos. I might not need tickets. Backstage access too!

Would be awesome. I love that band. They did well opening for FF during the 2008 PNW dates.

Hey everybody!

I am a long-time lazy lurker who decided that it was time that I finally signed up!

My tickets to the Gorge showed up a few days ago and I couldn't be more psyched! Is anyone else camping? I saw the band in 2011 at Sasquatch and the camping was a pretty decent experience.

See you there!

Well, one week away. Getting excited for it! Got a place to stay in Vantage (I have my teens with me and don't want to hang all night in the camping at the ampitheatre). Thinking about ordering some decent earplugs. Our seats are in the GA on the lawn up front. Hoping for a good long show and a ton of fun!

I got my earplugs at earplugstore.com

I have hearing damage from years of going to concerts without protection. The Alpine Music Safe Pro work well for me. I use the gold filter and have never had issues with ear ringing after the show and you can still hear the music clearly.

I'm camping. Just seen the guys tonight (in MK, UK) and it's been a good warm up for me.

Also, I've got a spare ticket if anyone wants it?

I am still mad I didn't go to Sasquatch. Arrived in Seattle the day before and talked myself out of the drive to the venue. Stupid.

Just wanted to provide an update - AMAZING show at The Gorge. The energy in this place is unreal, one of the best shows I have ever seen. The scenery was stunning and had no regrets about doing lawn seating.

We also did floor tickets in Calgary and are so glad we did this second show, it was an overall better show than in Calgary, for venue/sound quality as well as setlist and playing time. I still have my foo buzz on from 3 days ago
