Figured we should start up a new one again?

I think I started the last TO gig thread for the last Molson Amp gig. Full circle.

I am glad I am going to be in Canada when this concert happens! Hopefully will get some tickets in the GA section!

It's a shame it's not a month later because A) I'll be in Toronto then & B) my first Foo concert was 8/8/95 @ The Phoenix so I'd loved to have seen them back in T.O almost 20 years to the day.

Great venue for the Foos.

(Though I'm not sure how well considered the decision was to have people line-up at a box office location without any shelter in late-November in Toronto.)

I'm new to this forum so please forgive me if I ask questions that have already been answered as I haven't had a chance to review all the various posts.
Unfortunately I will not be able to line up as we are having a celebration of life for my mother in London but my friend is going to try. I was wondering if we don't get tickets on Saturday how does the presale online tickets work? Thanks

FOO FIGHTERS RANDOM LOTTERY LINE UP DRAW - TORONTO

In order to better serve our customers, a " RANDOM LOTTERY LINE UP " system has been implemented. The " RANDOM LOTTERY LINE UP " system will give each person an equal chance of purchasing tickets for major events and prevent overnight camping. The policy is as follows:

1) NO CAMPING OR LOITERING BEFORE 9:00 AM ON THE EVENT ON SALE DATE.

2) BETWEEN 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM ON THE DAY OF THE ONSALE, EACH PERSON WILL BE GIVEN ONE “NUMBERED LINE UP WRISTBAND”. THE STUB PORTION OF THE NUMBERED WRISTBAND WILL BE COLLECTED AND PUT INTO A BOX.

3) LINE UP WRISTBANDS WILL NOT BE ISSUED AFTER 9:30 AM. AT 9:40 AM A PERSON IN LINE WILL DRAW A "LINE-UP WRISTBAND NUMBER" FROM THE BOX AND THIS WILL DETERMINE THE START NUMBER OF THE LINE UP.

4) EACH PERSON WILL LINE UP IN NUMERICAL ORDER BEHIND THE "LINE-UP WRISTBAND" START NUMBER (IE: IF #31 WAS CHOSEN, THE LINE WOULD START WITH 31, FOLLOWED BY 32, 33, 34 ETC. AND THEN 1, 2, 3, 4 THROUGH TO #30 WITH 30 BEING THE LAST NUMBER IN LINE)

5) LINE UP WRISTBAND NUMBERS ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE AND CAN NOT BE SOLD. TO DO SO WILL REVOKE THE RIGHT TO PURCHASE TICKETS.

6) LINE UP WRISTBAND NUMBER MUST BE DRAWN 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE ON SALE. IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER THAT TIME, PLEASE TAKE YOUR POSITION IN THE "LATE LINE".
(The late line starts at the end of the "Line-Up WRISTBAND" line.)

Same here. Even if I was crazy enough to make the hour (one way) journey there and back (and I probably am) I work Saturday and have already missed two shifts this week.

Glad to have a Toronto thread back!

I'll be driving in from London with some other Foo fans to try to get tickets.

Here's hoping that it goes better than Chicago (got shut out there. May have cried a little).

Hooray for the thread being back!! It's like a reunion in here!

I chose not to line up today...I figure I had GA the first time around, as long as I don't get lawns I'll be happy seeing them from wherever I can.
I'm too old to stand in line in the cold anyway. Lol.

I haven't heard about any presale passwords or anything yet. Hopefully there'll be an Amex Front of the line presale for this one...

Joke down here. People lined up starting at 5:00 am in spite of policy.

People here just before 9:00 were just told that all of the wristbands are one. Literally 100's of people here who adhered to published policy are now left out of lottery.

Yup I was one of them. They lied when they said they were out of wristbands. They still had boxes of them at 9:30am, they just chose to stop handing them out despite the fact that MOST of us still in line arrived BEFORE 9:30am.

What a joke! When's the Foo Fighter pre-sale. Hope I can get a single ticket then. Don't want to be having to beg on here again like last tour.

Beloved Foos, Why the amphitheatre? Can't accomodate nearly enough fans. Does that mean another Toronto show will happen? This will be like a family reunion with only room for immediate family.

Got a pair of floors! It was a pretty crazy pre-sale. We got there at 730. Got in line for wristbands. Yes, people that got there after nine were caught in the late like tickets. They said that they would only distribute wrist bands from 9-930. Did so from 9-945. Then anyone else was in the late line. Wrist bands were random numbers. So the two guys I was with got numbers fairly different than mine.

For some reason people didn't want floors. When my last buddy got his tickets there were floors and they were into the 300's. I'm not sure how many seats they held back from the sale. But there were about 2000 people there. So a lot of tickets were bought.

I hope everyone has good luck with the online sales coming up and we'll gear up for when they announce a second show......(speculation right now but makes sense they sold out the Amp Theatre ten years ago and have only gotten bigger since then)

Oh also, if you waited long enough you would have gotten tickets. They were selling them until 3. So it did take some time, but everyone that stuck around got tickets to the show. Also, no service fees. Paid $150 for a pair of floors.

There is a week between the Toronto show and the next one in New York. It wouldn't surprise me if they have the option of adding a second show. There will also be a Toronto show if the band is serious about reenacting their first tour.

Scalpers are already selling ticktes on Kijiji for $325 each I really hope I can get a pair for my son and I during the presale.

Eeeeesssh, sad to read what happened.

I have to rely on the online resale.

The Amp is not the most ideal venue but it is better than the ACC. Something about Amp shows in the summer time bring out a little nostalgia in me too.

The scalpers were out in full force. All lined up too. You can't say anything as they followed the rules today. But there were tickets snapped up by them.
