Default Question about O2 London

Sorry, i know this isn't a Foo related question, but I know someone here can help me

I have been offered 2 tickets to see Foo Fighters Ok, Pearl Jam at the O2. They are level 1 and I would much rather be standing and in the thick of things. So, is it possible to get to the arena floor, or will the black bomber jackets turn us back?

the black bomber jackets won't even let you get near the arena floor section, it's a whole different security entrance to the O2 for that section. For starters, the seating areas are upstairs only.

I got standing for the 19th. Travelling down for the day by train from Edinburgh, back up the next day, and back down again on the Friday for the two Foos gigs at the London Stadium.

Then I'm back a week or two later for The Cure at Hyde Park. London is costing me a fortune!

I drove up to Carnoustie (near Dundee) from Southend-on-Sea, England for 1 hour's work, then back down. Life on the road.

When I went to see Foo Fighters at the O2, the couple I met there wanted to change their tickets from standing to seated and they did this after entering the venue.

They went to guest services which, is just behind block 108 on the concourse from memory. So you may be able to do the same there if there are standing tickets available there.

If you are a Sky customer you should be able to get tickets into the Sky backstage bar, they open their doors into the arena the same time as the venue doors open and as luck might have it their entrance into the venue is right by the guest services desk.

I went in the Sky entrance to see Foos at the O2. Had level 4 seated tickets and walked away with a standing wristband....

If they ask if you're standing say yes.

We'll be attempting the same at Pearl Jam!

I saw that post and was tempted but I have two trips down next week and hotels and trains booked as it is! Had I got a ticket for the other Pearl Jam day I'd have wasted one of my train tickets and have to book a train and hotel for the Monday.

I have a Standing ticket for the Tuesday gig and pitch tickets for the two London Foos shows.

I'm off to Download Paris this weekend. Then Pearl jam Tues, Deftones Weds and Foos Friday and Saturday.
I'm not sure how I feel about sitting tickets for Pearl Jam, really hope we blag our way in! Also have a massive presentation weds afternoon and it would be better if I'm standing as I wont drink
Big week planned!

A few years ago I had about 7 gigs in about 3 weeks. The last one was Sigur Ros, and I'd accidentally booked seated instead of Standing (jumped the gun with the presale without reading what the default option was!). I was actually glad to have a seat by that time as Sigur Ros aren't the type of band you really need to stand for.

Just checked my hotel for Tuesday - it appears its further from the tube station than I thought, which is disappointing. Still I should have plenty of time to make up for any mess ups, and can use my phone to navigate!
